General Conditions of Trade
1. In these conditions of sale:"the company" means The PC Wizards. "the buyer" means the person, firm or company ordering or purchasing goods or services from the company.
"the goods" means the subject matter of the relevant order or contract for sale
2. All goods and services must be paid for prior to or upon collection / delivery
3. The buyer's property and all property supplied to the company by or on behalf of the buyer shall, while it is in possession of the company or in transit to or from the buyer, be deemed to be at the buyer's risk and the buyer shall insure accordingly
4. Goods returned must be in the original packaging and in a clean, resalable condition.
Goods returned otherwise will, at our discretion either be refused or a further additional re-stocking fee charged to cover the additional costs involved.
5. The buyer shall own the goods only once the goods have been paid for in full. Until then, they belong to the company
6. Any faults or defects in goods that are present upon delivery must be reported within 48 hours of receipt
7. The company can recover the goods at any time if the buyer is in breach of these terms and conditions or the company considers it's ownership of the goods jeopardized by the buyer continuing to hold them
8. Cheques – all cheques are accepted upon the basis of being paid upon first presentation. In the event of any cheques being returned unpaid (whether or not subsequently represented and paid) the company will impose an administrative charge of £100.00 Cancellation of a cheque without prior written notification and a detailed account of why the cheque is to be cancelled will be taken as an illegal breach of contract
9. The PC Wizards accept no responsibility for loss of data during repair or upgrade.
Data will not be transferred from disk to disk unless it has been agreed and listed on the workshop booking form
10. The PC Wizards can only re-install any software which has been supplied on a disk by the customer with a valid license code. Pre-loaded operating systems and software may be lost during a repair, so ensure that you have provided the necessary disks to reload the system
11. The PC Wizards accept no responsibility for third party faults. Errors with Internet Providers, telephone companies, power companies, viruses or spyware or any other related supplier which may affect the running of the PC.
The PC Wizards recommends checking these first in appropriate circumstances
12. Losses MUST be reported within 7 days
13. Machines left at the The PC Wizards workshops after repair/upgrade will be kept no longer than a period of 3 months. Equipment and software may be placed into storage where appropriate, which may incur additional cost for the customer.
After 3 months, the equipment or software may be sold to recover our costs
14. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and EU Law and you hereby agree to be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England
